Noah’s Little Ark is a ministry of First United Methodist Church, Palmyra.
NLA offers morning programs for children ages 2 through Kindergarten ages, and afternoon programs for children ages 4 through Kindergarten ages.
Our teachers, aides, and support staff are enthusiastic, loving, positive people with a desire to promote and encourage a love of learning and curiosity in each child. Our staff regularly participate in professional development experiences, trainings, and continuing education that grow and enhance their early childhood staff skills.
All of NLA policies are to maintain a safe, healthy school environment for students and staff in every way:
-All children attending Noah’s Little Ark are required to have age appropriate vaccinations that are current and up to date.
-In the case of bumps and bruises, Injury Reports are filled out and given to guardians at pick-up time; occasionally, NLA may make a phone call to give parents quicker updates and information.
-Staff on site are trained in First Aid and CPR; the First UMC maintains an AED on site for use in emergencies.
While present in the facility each day, students will be in contact with other children, families, and employees who are also at risk of community exposure. Every precaution is taken to protect our students and staff. However, no list of restrictions, guidelines or practices will remove 100% of the risk of exposure to illness (specifically regarding COVID-19, as the virus can be transmitted for days by persons who are asymptomatic). Each family plays a crucial role in keeping everyone else in the facility safe and reducing the risk of exposure by following the practices outlined in Noah’s Little Ark Preschool’s Covid Document.
Noah’s Little Ark was started as a Christian Preschool in 1998 by members of First United Methodist Church of Palmyra to provide a safe, affordable, quality environment for pre-kindergarten children of families who live in Palmyra, PA.
Noah’s Little Ark’s mission has expanded, and NLA is now a ministry of First United Methodist Church of Palmyra providing community-oriented, family-centered, affordable Christian education programs with safe, quality environments and events for children ages 2-7 and their families who live, work, or travel in Palmyra, PA.
Detailed instructions, guidelines, procedures, and policies are further explained in the NLA Parent Handbook, available on request.
Noah’s Little Ark shall not discriminate against families on the basis of national or ethnic origin, race or skin color, religion or creed, sex or sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, age, individuals with a disability, genetic information, or any protected classes under the law.
